So the question on everyone’s mind is ‘what are you going to do now?’ So here is my 21 things to do when I turn 21.

1. Enjoy my first cocktail LEGALLY!
2. Get into my new house and make it home.
3. Attend a burlesque show.
4. Gamble, I always wondered what the draw of those slot machines was.
5. Get one of those oh so stylish red wristbands when I go to ‘all ages’ events even if I don’t plan to drink.
6. Get my own car insurance because hopefully my rates won’t be so high if I’m over 21 with a near perfect driving record – one speeding ticket and a parking lot car accident that wasn’t reported.
7. Rent a hotel room. I can’t think of too many hotels in Vegas that let anyone under 21 rent a room so now that I’m of age I can! Hotel Party!
8. Speaking of parties, I will try that whole party whore thing. I think there is some expectation of you when you turn 21, particularly if you live in or around a party cities like LA, Vegas or New York. When you turn 21 you’re supposed to be a party hound and do nothing but party. Not my thing, but I’ll give it a whirl.
9. Feel smug the next time someone asks for my ID.




10. Travel to San Francisco and see what I’m missing so much.
11. Go to one of those high-end nightclubs that are only considered ‘high-end’ because it is located on the roof or it has some massive balcony that is potentially very dangerous for intoxicated young folk.
12. Celebrate my birthday for the rest of the year.
13. Fearlessly walk down the liquor aisle at the supermarket.
14. Actually buy liquor from said supermarket.
15. Stay completely and entirely away from the computer for 21 hours.
16. Strip club, strip club, strip club. I could have done this after I turned 18 I suppose but who actually wants to go to a strip club sober? Not me.
17. Let 21 people hug me <- This is a big one for someone with mild haphephobia!
18. Skydive, possibly from 2100 feet? Yep.
19. Befriend a total stranger.
20. Sit in a lounge, again LEGALLY, and enjoy live music.
21. Drunk dial my ex’s, my Mom and George W. Bush.
