Alright, let me first start by saying I LOVE my iPhone. However, there are quite a few fetaures lacking from it. My biggest iPhone pet-peeve right now is the lack of Multimedia Messaging Support (MMS). I don’t understand why this feature is so difficult to incorporate into the iPhone. It is old technology, my cell phone from about five years ago supports MMS.
So because the iPhone lacks MMS support I get a lovely text message that says
I sent you a multimedia message. You can view my message w/in the next 7 days via the web at www.viewmymessage.com/2 using MSG ID *** Password ***
Ooh, a picture! I can’t wait to see it. I use my beloved FireFox to navigate to the website and enter in the credentials but all I get is some error message about an invalid path. WTF? I Google it and come up with loads of other complaints about the site that are at least a year old. Why hasn’t this problem been fixed yet? Who knows. BTW, I also tried this on Safari that comes installed on the iPhone and it didn’t work there either.
Someone suggested using IE (bleh). I clicked the blue and did the same thing and mysteriously, I was transported to the correct page where I saw this.

Alright, what are you complaining about now Chelsea? You got your picture didn’t you? Indeed, I did get to see this lovely little thumbnail of a picture but of course the photo is embedded into a flash. I can’t see a large version, that little photo is all I got to see, not to mention the fact that it is crooked.

Yeah, I really don’t know why the iPhone doesn’t have MMS either. That is one of the big reasons I haven’t gotten one, and the fact that it’s not a BlackBerry too!
But, I know people who just email pictures to the phone number email which works just the same as MMS…..almost.
