I bought Photojojo at Barnes and Noble one day on a whim. And if you’re reading this Chani, you are so getting this book for your birthday.
I was so impressed with this one photo project from the book that I decided to replicate it on my own wall. Using ball chain, magnets and a few photos, I now have a gorgeous photo display.
Not only does it look great, it alleviates the need to frame every picture, eliminates the clutter and the magnets makes it super easy to change the photos anytime.
I love all the pictures on the wall so far. I took all but one of them myself. I printed them out on my home printer on 5 x 7 printer paper and they look AMAZING! Every time I walk past it I smile a little.
I have so much extra ball chain that I’m probably going to end up doing these in a few other rooms as well. I’ll just need more photos to fill them all up!

I would definitely recommend the book for anyone who has way too many photos and not enough space to display them.
P.S. My dream home looks way more like an art gallery than an actual home.
My Mom is getting married or so she says. I only say that because she’s been engaged for two years now and hasn’t made any plans what-so-ever about actually doing a wedding. That is, until recently when she decided to start planning one. I am excited because I get to play designer and I get creative control because I know she (nor the groom) care about what I do. So I made a few mock invitations for them because she did say she wanted to make them. I designed three invitations but this one by far took the longest and it was the one I preferred. I used all free fonts and it took around 3 hours to get all of the words and graphics to fit properly.

Obviously, this invite has fake information for 2 reasons. 1. I don’t want any e-stalkers and 2. they haven’t actually decided on venues yet.
After I did the text the card was pretty easy to assemble. Add some ribbon, a few flowers, sparkle, shine and everything wonderful. Bam. Finished product. I love not having to design for clients because there’s no one slaughtering a perfectly decent design.
Throwback to the last decade. In case you missed them, check out 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007. Unfortunately, we’ve reached the end. :’( but not forever. There are still many more decades to come (I hope) and plenty of photos to be had.

2009
Side note: why is it that the year I have the nicest camera of my life I take absolutely zero good photos? Ponder that one. Until next time, adios.
I am contently driving down the street when I notice this giant sign plastered to a wall that says: call me I’m 50! I’m intrigued but not enough to call the guy (or girl) because at this point I realize the sign is posted on the outside wall of a school. Now, if that doesn’t tip the cops off to a possible pedophile, I don’t know what will. Now I continue on my journey but then I see more signs and even more. An all out scavenger hunt ensues in which I must find all signs that will eventually lead me to the pot of gold at the end.

That is a total of 6 but no pot-o-gold at the end. Darn. So, I say to Kerry Christoffersen, who’s birthday it is today: Happy Birthday and thank you for even having a birthday, without which I would not have been occupied this afternoon. And instead of you giving me a pot of gold I will give you this hand drawing of a stick figure. Now, you could be a man or a woman but I drew you as a man. You have a tie on because I think you may be a teacher. If you’re not a teacher, you should really take the sign with your phone number down from the school building, it just doesn’t send the right message. Lastly, someone really loves you do tell them how much you appreciate it.

p.s. You may want to change your phone number as it is now going to be immortalized forever on the inter webs. Thank goodness for digital cameras and blogs.
When your boyfriend (not mine) is incarcerated and you are bored what better to do than send him a get out of jail free card, a nail file and a big box of cupcakes baked with love? I think my favorite part of this entire card was the inside (second picture down) because it fit so well and I thought it was super sweet. I blocked out the names for privacy. Enjoy.
