So, I thought as an interesting experiment, I would record all of my thoughts at random intervals yesterday. I tried to write down thoughts as they naturally occurred, tweeting them probably would have been easier but I had fun this way. I never paid much attention to how many thoughts run through my head in a day but here is a brief look at what I’m thinking.

  • Time to clean the pool. Wait, I didn’t leave that there and someone has messed with this pool cleaner. Was someone here in my backyard? Yes, someone was definitely here.
  • Why doesn’t my Mom ever answer my phone calls.
  • No, I don’t know any Neil. Why would someone named Neil, whom I’ve never met, put me as their reference at the Dollar Loan Center? Who are you Neil and why are you bothering me with such things?!
  • Huh, the scale is a little off this morning…Or maybe I just…Nah, the scale is definitely off. Maybe I need a new scale.
  • Maybe I’ll eat two bananas today.
  • Cheese and crackers sounds good. I should go get some.
  • I love Google trends, always keeps me up to date on the latest happenings.
  • Stupid &**(& #@$@ &(()(* mouse sucks. Blast this mouse.
  • You mean they don’t just throw porta-pottys away? Someone comes and cleans those? Wait, ew.
  • Focus!
  • I wonder if they have a lot of lawn mower accidents in Nebraska.
  • I wish I was more quirky like the people on television shows.
  • Man, I really wish I had some cheese and crackers.
  • I don’t know whether to punch or hug the inventor of the salad.
  • Do do do do da do.
  • WOW! That balloon scared me. Crap, why do I continue to leave that balloon there when it freaks me out every time I walk in the room. Stupid balloon never learns not to sneak up on people.
  • Why haven’t I gotten some cheese and crackers yet?
  • Wow, I love people. You all make me laugh consistently on a daily basis.
  • Sonograms are kind of scary as default pictures.

I came across Pretty Much Amazing (PMA) one day when I was browsing for cover songs, I admit, I am a cover junkie. I browsed around and liked what I heard. PMA is a music blog that has introduced me to a lot of new, really good music. Best part of all, they have an entire category for covers. You can download the songs you hear and like right from their website so you don’t have to go searching all over for them. Pretty much amazing indeed.

I heard about Swaptree quite a few times on various television shows and around the net. I tried it out and I think it’s simply fantastic. If you’re not familiar with the concept, at Swaptree you list the things you have and don’t want any more as well as the things you want. Swaptree does the hard part far you and finds matches for you. You trade the stuff you don’t want any longer for something you do want, books, CD’s, music and games can be swapped. The only downside to it is having your address given out to strangers but I solved that quickly by not using my own address. I suppose a P.O. box would have worked just as well. Swaptree is a pretty simple and cheap way to get the things you want while getting rid of the things you don’t.

I haven’t read my RSS feed subscriptions in about a month. Moving was like having a hurricane blow through a landlocked state. Just getting back into the swing of things and I can’t wait to catch up.

Thanks to my cousin, I was able to see the Blue Man Group on Monday. It was my first time seeing it. I wasn’t expecting much but it rocked! I think the biggest surprise to me was how funny it was. In my head, I was picturing some dudes covered in blue paint banging on drums, but it was much more. I would definitely recommend it.

I couldn't take my eyes off of these guys.

My birthday just passed two days ago and this was a big one, the big 2-1 to be exact. So the question on everyone’s mind is ‘what are you going to do now?’ So here is my 21 things to do when I turn 21.

  1. Enjoy my first cocktail LEGALLY!
  2. Get into my new house and make it home.
  3. Attend a burlesque show.
  4. Gamble, I always wondered what the draw of those slot machines was.
  5. Get one of those oh so stylish red wristbands when I go to ‘all ages’ events even if I don’t plan to drink.
  6. Get my own car insurance because hopefully my rates won’t be so high if I’m over 21 with a near perfect driving record – one speeding ticket and a parking lot car accident that wasn’t reported.
  7. Rent a hotel room. I can’t think of too many hotels in Vegas that let anyone under 21 rent a room so now that I’m of age I can! Hotel Party!
  8. Speaking of parties, I will try that whole party whore thing. I think there is some expectation of you when you turn 21, particularly if you live in or around a party cities like LA, Vegas or New York. When you turn 21 you’re supposed to be a party hound and do nothing but party. Not my thing, but I’ll give it a whirl.
  9. Feel smug the next time someone asks for my ID.

  10. Travel to San Francisco and see what I’m missing so much.
  11. Go to one of those high-end nightclubs that are only considered ‘high-end’ because it is located on the roof or it has some massive balcony that is potentially very dangerous for intoxicated young folk.
  12. Celebrate my birthday for the rest of the year.
  13. Fearlessly walk down the liquor aisle at the supermarket.
  14. Actually buy liquor from said supermarket.
  15. Stay completely and entirely away from the computer for 21 hours.
  16. Strip club, strip club, strip club. I could have done this after I turned 18 I suppose but who actually wants to go to a strip club sober? Not me.
  17. Let 21 people hug me <- This is a big one for someone with mild haphephobia!
  18. Skydive, possibly from 2100 feet? Yep.
  19. Befriend a total stranger.
  20. Sit in a lounge, again LEGALLY, and enjoy live music.
  21. Drunk dial my ex’s, my Mom and George W. Bush.

It is no secret that I love beautiful photography, in every style and form. Most of my favorite photographers are on flickr or deviantart but some of them have beautiful photologs (all of which I’m subscribed to). Below are snippets from some of my favorite photographers and their blogs. All of them bring a little something new to photography and have their own unique style. All the images are © copyright their respective owners.
