Blue screen of death!

I had been having a pretty rotten day. I was working on my laptop last night when I suddenly got the blue screen of death. Ugh! Not the blue screen of death. I hate you blue screen of death and I hope you die a fiery and painful death. I reboot my computer which usually works but this time, I still get the blue screen. Uh Oh.

After doing my research online (thank you Google). I discovered that such a problem requires user (that’s me) to use a reboot or Windows XP re installation CD. Great. Of all the dirty, rotten things that could happen to my poor, helpless little laptop and now you want a CD that I do not have to attempt fix it. This makes me sad, very sad indeed. I tried starting the computer in every way possible but no matter what, I still get the blue screen of death! (que ominous music now) I am officially laying my laptop to rest (and the killer N key that was retired some time ago) on Friday, October 9th at 12:00 in the p.m.

Needless to say, I was having a pretty crummy start of my day this morning. On top of my computer dying, I also had my flat iron die earlier this week and I have been tirelessly searching for a relatively inexpensive replacement iron. In my searching I decided to check eBay. I wanted a higher-end flat iron so I began my search. At some point I stumbled across a NIB ghd IV flat iron that didn’t have GHD in the title. ‘Well that wasn’t very smart’ I thought to myself followed by ‘oh look it ends in about 40 minutes’, then, ‘wait, the current bid is only at $41, I might actually have a shot!’ I waited that $40 minutes and put in my bid within the last 45 seconds. I won the flat iron for $42 and free shipping!

I am so pleased with myself I can hardly contain my excitement. I feel as though I may just burst into little star bits. I am not 100% certain about the normal retail value of the straightener but I know on the ghd website it sells for around $180. I love getting good deals, makes me feel like I just won the lottery. While I haven’t completely forgotten about my late laptop, RIP, I am completely excited about this and it made my day. Happy dance time.
