Get out of jail free

When your boyfriend (not mine) is incarcerated and you are bored what better to do than send him a get out of jail free card, a nail file and a big box of cupcakes baked with love? I think my favorite part of this entire card was the inside (second picture down) because it fit so well and I thought it was super sweet. I blocked out the names for privacy. Enjoy.

Vintage Birthday Card Tutorial

If you haven’t already noticed, I love making things. Creating stuff and just plain being creative is my all-time favorite hobby. Of course, paper crafting, scrapbooking and card making fall in the list of things I should really do more often. So I bring you this vintage birthday card tutorial. Enjoy.

Moar Diaper Cake Madness

I made this diaper cake slightly different than my last few. I used to roll each of the diapers and I chose not to do that this time to save myself some time and effort. Not only was it easier but it looks better too. Total spent: $26.78 for 84 Huggies size 2 diapers, 3 receiving blankets, ribbon and paper fill. This one was super easy and I’ll definitely be making similar diaper cakes in the future.

My Second Diaper Cake for twins!

I made this diaper cake for my cousin who is having twins! I couldn’t really decide on a set color scheme so I used the basics: pink, blue, green, yellow. 4 layers, around 108 diapers, 3 bottles, 4 spoons, 2 bottles of shampoo, 2 bottles of baby lotion, 2 bottles of baby powder, 6 pairs of socks, 2 stuffed animals and a bouquet of flowers for the top cost me around $50 and about two hours to construct.

Rebinding an old book into a journal and sketchbook

So my latest venture into arts and crafts is the rebinding of books. Specifically, rebinding old books into journals. I had so much fun with this project I plan on doing a lot more and a tutorial one day. Check out my first rebound book made into a journal and sketchpad.
