WARNING! I’m in craft mode. I’ve been making all kinds of nifty things for the last few days including a back drop, lightboxes, and this nifty little journal. I used heavy-duty drawing paper and coffee stained each of the pages by hand then tore the edges. The thing looks fantastic. I just need to bind it and I’m done (I’ve never binded a book by hand before so I could potentially screw up the whole entire thing).

So I’m sitting on the floor looking at this lil book and I see all of these un-used and under-estimated black felt scraps sitting to the side of me. I started playing around with them and I created this lovely little swirly scene. Too bad this stuff can’t stay that way.

It was fun trying to fit all of these little pieces together and see how they all work. I think I’m actually going to draw on the front of the journal (probably some swirlies like this) and I also might bleach parts of it to give the outside the same aged look that the inside pages have.

I don’t watch too much TV. I usually have a few select shows that I am loyal too. That is until the show gets canceled unexpectedly due to poor budgeting and lack of proper advertising. Those are sad days but life goes on and I replace it with a somewhat decent but not quite as entertaining replica of the former show I once loved.
A new year means all new shows and all new seasons. It also means plenty of time for me, my couch and my favorite brand of popcorn to be reaquainted.

So Christmas was yesterday…phew, glad that is over. Christmas really isn’t my favorite holiday. The list of reasons why is quite extensive. I’m always really relieved when it is over. Never the less, Happy Holidays to all and an even happier new year.
I didn’t get everything I waanted for Christmas so today I drove myself to Best Buy and picked up a few ‘post-Christmas goodies’. One of which was this lovely little beast of a mouse. Before I was blessed with this darling thing I was using the mouse for my graphics tablet because my previous one died on me.

It's mouse-alicious
Good stuff indeed. Now to go prepare for the New Years Eve party.

Utah is a very strange place to me indeed. I found a lot of weird things that I’ve never seen before. Cart escalators and weird McDonalds drive thru’s. LOL I guess I need to get around more often. Where shall I visit next to see weird things?
